Catherine Chapman and Tarot Elements
Bored by my regular ‘About Me’ page, I decided to do something a little different. If you’re on Facebook, you may remember a note called 25 Things. A friend will have tagged you and all you had to do was list 25 random things about yourself, tag some friends so they did the same.
I decided to use mine for my Catherine Chapman and Tarot Elements page. It tells you plenty of random things about me, but not much about Tarot Elements – guess you’ll have to just have a look around the blog to find out more – you can do that by reading my lovely sitemap which I creatively called Contents
25 Things (about me)
1. My favourite historical figure is Benjamin Franklin.
2. I lived in Cronulla, Australia as a child & learned to swim in the local rock pool.
3. I saw Pavarotti perform at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2003.
4. My two favourite bands are Led Zepplin & Placebo but please dont ask me to choose betwen them.
5. I have a fat lazy cat called Tom and a nuerotic border collie called Shep who chases aeroplanes.
6. I have three great kids & I personally take credit for all their greatness.
7. In the hope I can overcome them, I like to face my fears and did a bungee cage twice. I get on aeroplanes & go to the dentist. I still have fears.
8. I get the giggles over silly little things that no-one else seems to get.
9. Although there are times I doubt myself, I will always believe in you.
10. In my youth, I used to be a cross country runner & represented my high school, Sale Harriers & also my county, Cheshire.
11. I had plastic surgery as a child after a terrible dog bite.
12. I had plastic surgery as an adult after I had children.
13. I love to cook, especially from scratch. Favourite memorable dishes being Jambalaya & Lamb Biryani.
14. My great, great, great, great grandfather Captain Joseph Hynson was a double agent in the American Revolution. It’s likely he secretly knew Franklin.
15. I took my kids to the Isle of Wight Rock Festival in 2004 where we saw David Bowie & The Who. I have the official bootleg cd from the set by The Who. Bowie sang Under Pressure – I had quite a moment!
16. My favourite artists are Jack Vettriano & M C Escher.
17. I recently began reading Osho & also some philosophy- thanks for that, you know who you are.
18. I have known my closest friends nearly all my life – I love you both, you know who you are too X
19. My personal hero is my late grandfather, John William Chapman. If he can survive a Japanese prisoner of war camp, I can survive this life too & whatever it may throw at me. Always remember, the bottom is where you say it is.
20. I love to play air guitar & pull stupid faces; sing into the ice cream scoop & dance till the kids leave the room fully embarrassed. I realise I have become my parents.
21. I believe in giving compliments, especially to complete strangers. You never know how much you’ll be lifting them, but it has to be honest & true.
22. I have co-authored a book on tarot with Paul Hughes-Barlow of Supertarot.co.uk. It’s called Beyond the Celtic Cross – you can buy your copy right here.
23. I’m not afraid to admit when I’m wrong & I will always say sorry.
24. My favourite ice cream is the Triple Chocolate by the Co-op. Its perfect – go buy some!
25. I was named after both of my great grandmothers, Catherine Chapman & Annie Louise Hynson. I have both of their engagement rings, one of which I wear permanently, the other is too delicate to wear everyday.
