Celtic Cross
The Celtic Cross Spread is detailed and thorough exploration of the situation or question asked of it. As tarot spreads go, they don’t get much better than this, though this particular tarot spread has suffered a bad press in recent years. That’s likely to be due to it always being taught to new tarot lovers after Arthur Waite presenting it in his Pictorial Key to the Tarot at the launch of the Rider Waite-Smith tarot deck back in 1909.
The advent of the internet, the new connections among many tarot communities the world over has seen a wonderful and immense exchange of ideas that have helped to relegate the Celtic Cross Spread to the lower division of tarot reading. Predictive by nature, this tarot spread fell out of favour with the increasing interest in the tarot community with psychology and ‘future creation’.
I hope to change your perception about the Celtic Cross Spread by showing in this category all that’s possible with it, from creative tarot reading techniques, to customising it to suit your needs, a theme or subject and good old fashioned fortune-telling.
The four part Celtic Cross Spread tutorial series has its own introductory page that you can begin with. You can of course, just get cracking with the first post of that series, How to Read the Celtic Cross Like a Pro.
