Whether you see the 6 of Pentacles as help and kindness coming your way, or whether you see yourself as the benefactor, one thing is certain – it’s always wonderful to see this card.
No matter what your role is in this exchange, it shows the milk of human kindness and if you’ve had your faith in humankind dented lately, rest assured that events today will go a long way to repair that.
If you know you can help someone today, do it. Whether it’s financial help, sharing knowledge, providing transport or supplying emotional support – if the Universe brought them to you, help them.
Likewise, if you need help in any way, know that your prayers have been answered and help is on the way. It may not be in the form you expect or hope, but the fairness and balance that comes with the energy of this card brings exactly what you need.
In the words of Lauryn Hill:
What you want might make you cry
What you need might pass you by
If you don’t catch it,
And what you need ironically
Will turn out what you want to be
If you just let it.
The message for today is Reciprocity. Whether you’re giving or receiving, you’re still receiving the other, but you have to be open to do either.
To give makes you joyous, to receive makes you thankful.
It’s a win-win for everyone.
Catherine

The measure of what you give is the measure you will receive. Try to give the best you can…and try to be your best always. Kate, I love what you wrote about the card. To recognize that we have what we need and be content with it is not always easy. The 6 of Pentacles is a good reminder though.
Thanks, Aurora – in some ways, it felt like a move away from the center of the core meaning, but my intention was to always write these intuitively and off the cuff and Reciprocity popped straight into my head, swiftly followed by Lauryn Hill
