Reading Out Loud - The Competition - Winner Of The Faery Wicca Tarot Announced!

Thank you to everyone who entered the fabulous Reading Out Loud Competition! There were some fantastic entries and it was hard deciding who was going to win a copy of the awesome (and elemental) Faery Wicca Tarot published by Llewellyn.

Your experiences brought tears of joy, and sadness to Valerie and myself – we were reminded how Tarot, and life, can be so hard and yet so flippant too – but isn’t that why we love Tarot? It mirrors life like nothing else we know.

And so enough waffling from me onto the winner (drum roll please….)

I work at the Pagan Picnic in St. Louis every summer. A few years ago, I was reading for a gentleman who was dating a much younger man. I told him that this guy was basically a child, and that he was using the querent for money, clothes, etc. I saw that the querent wanted a deeper relationship and encouraged him to find what he needed.

From behind, I heard, “You bitch!!”. A young man stalked past the table – he’d been standing behind me for the whole reading. The querent tipped me $20 and said it was the easiest break-up he’d ever had.
